President's Message

Saving Private Healthcare

Two years ago I was asked to be on the board and I said yes because I thought it was time for me to give back to our industry. Then, last year when I was asked to serve as President Elect I said yes again. With the call for Healthcare Reform growing louder, I felt that it would be a crucial time for our industry to be involved and maybe I could make a difference.

So here I am, your new President, positioned with a stronger board that is more experienced than a year ago thanks to Tamela. I am excited and anxious to help carry forward the traditions of our association. We held our Strategic Planning Meeting and our #1 priority this year will be dealing with HealthCare Reform. We are sending four board members to Washington D.C. in July for a special lobbying chance with other associations and other NAHU members from around the country.
